General:
Deciduous perennial, 1-10 cm tall.

Sporophores:
1- to 2-pinnate, 1.3-3 times length of trophophores.

Trophophores:
Lanceolate, stalks 0.5-7 mm long; blades oblong, 1-pinnate, up to 6 cm long; pinnae to 5 pairs, well separated, with minutely round-toothed to sharp-toothed margins.

Habitat / Range

Marshy meadows and springy places in the montane zone; rare in NE (Fort Nelson) and SE BC (Flathead River area); S to WY, AZ and CA.
